How Does The Computer Mouse Work?
The mouse with the red light on the bottom that we are using every day at home or in the shop is called optical mouse. The red lamp is the LED light emitter and right in front of it is the photocell light detector. Red light falls on your table and is reflected back to the CMOS sensor. The sensor is capable of receiving 1500 such reflections or images per second and sending them to a digital signal processor. By determining the difference between the previous image and the new one, the processor can understand exactly how far the mouse has moved. Accordingly the signal is sent to the computer and we are the mind.
