We have already discussed what hard drive is and how it works. For the past few years we have been using hard drive to store data in computers.

But now a new storage system which is called ssd, has become very popular in the last few years. Let's try to know a little more about the ssd that is being used as an alternative to hard disks in computers and laptops

A hard disk is a mechanical drive, which consists of a CD-like disk that spins and stores your data on it. It means in simple words, all the programs, software, video, picture files in your computer are stored in this magnetic disk.

On the other hand - 

An SSD also stores all of the computer's data, but there is no magnetic disk.

SSD is completely a flash-based memory technology.
