Why My Bernese Mountain Dog is the Perfect Breed for Me?

The Bernese Mountain Dog is one of the most popular breeds in the world. With a average size between 66-77 pounds and height of 16 - 21 inches, this adorable dog is gentle and well behaved. This breed was originally developed in Switzerland as a livestock guardian dog but today it's well known around the world as an excellent companion dog.

The Dog (Boschung) is a breed of domestic dog, a Swiss cattle dog and a member of the larger group called Sennenhunde, that is a type of sheepdog. The dogs are popular in Europe, particularly Switzerland and have even been used to herd sheep at times.

It was originally bred to be a herding dog, but today it's a companion animal and family pet. The Bernese Mountain Dog is a large, sturdy dog that stands around 25 inches tall and weighs up to 85 pounds. Their coats come in three colors: black, brown, or tricolor (black, brown, and white).

The breed has been used for centuries as a working dog for farmers who raised livestock on farms and pastures. The dogs were also used to herd sheep and other animals into corrals for shearing or slaughtering them for meat. Today, this loyal breed makes an excellent family pet because of their calm temperament and calm nature.

The Bernese Mountain Dog is a large-sized dog and can weigh up to 60 pounds (27 kg). It has a thick double coat that comes in different colors, including red, cream, black, and white. The coat comes in two layers: thick undercoat and long outercoat. Many people call this coat "fluffy."

The coat of this dog grows slowly; it takes about one year for a puppy to reach its full coat length. The adult coat does not require any grooming other than brushing occasionally with a firm bristled brush to remove dead hairs.

The Bernese Mountain Dog's face is broad with strong jaws and very dark eyes that are set well apart. Its nose is black or brown depending on the color of its coat; some dogs have black noses while others have brown noses. The nose should be black if the dog is white or cream-colored or brown if it has colored coats: these colors indicate that the dog is healthy and has no genetic problems

Let me start by saying that this blog post is purely informative, and I have a great admiration for these wonderful dogs. However, I would like to make a few things clear about the purchase of any puppy. First and foremost, please understand that this is not a “design your dog” simulator. This app was only made as an informational guide. The goal of this app is to inform the reader on the standard characteristics of the Bernese Mountain Dog, so they can better assess whether or not the puppy they purchased is more than likely what they expected based upon their description of its lineage. It is meant to alert you to any health concerns you may want to consider as well. My hope is that this app can help many people in making an informed purchase when considering a Bernese Mountain Dog as family.
